MATES, A SUBLIMATABLE
PRE-ADHESIVE MATERIAL
Sublimatable flexible plastics designed specifically for sublimation transfers. MATES are 5 mils (0.005") thick, pre-adhesive backed, and available in 7 exciting colors, including White, Clear, Metallics, and Holographic.
MATES now print at 400° with any type of transfer paper. New colors have been added to the line, available in seven colors, including White, Crystal (clear), Brushed Silver, Chrome, Brushed Gold, Brite Gold, and Prism (holographic). 12-inch rolls have been introduced for wide format printing, along with 8.5” x 11” sheet packs, all at a new low price.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEST SOLID COLOR GRAPHICS
The best solid colors are obtained by using the Epson Printer driver.
BEST PHOTOGRAPHIC COLOR GRAPHICS
When dye sublimation printing photographs on MATES use the “Unisub setting on the Power Driver software.
TRANSFERRING MATES
1. Preheat Press to 400oF and set for light pressure.
2. Create SubliJet or "hybrid" transfer.
3. Cut MATES and transfer to size and tape transfer to MATES.
4. Place in press, on Teflon sheet, transfer side up, and press for 20-25 seconds.
5. Remove transfer, peel MATES from adhesive liner and apply.
CUTTING MATES
MATES can be cut with almost any type of blade or shear, as well as on a variety of other equipment.
MATES can be die cut using both steel rule and rotary tooling.
MATES can be laser cut On a 25-watt laser start at 100% power, 40% speed, 500 DPI, and 750 PPI. These are recommended as a starting point. It may be necessary to make adjustments for variations in laser power and performance.
MATES can be cut on a vinyl plotter. Use a 60º blade and 80-110 grams of downforce. Start at a relatively slow speed and increase until you find the optimal speed for your machine.
REGISTERING MATES
Adding corresponding registration marks to the pre-cut parts and transfer makes it very easy to register the two before transferring the image. Try X circles that are printed on the transfer and cut from the MATES sheet, and then punched out with a paper punch. You simply line up the holes, adhere the transfer to the parts, and print. |
